Do you believe this to be the case for stay at home moms?
I saw this in another post, so I decided to ask.

I think it becomes "your money" as soon as your hubby agrees to work while you stay home to tend to his kids and house. Keeping house and raising kids = working for money. When it comes down to it, I think the stay at home parent has just as much say over where and how the money is spent as the parent who works. But thats JMO.
nope, i did but everytime i would say to my hubby that its his money bc i didnt work to get it he always says, no its our money.
If you really want to think about it If you added up what it would cost to put a child in daycare technically a SAHM is working she just doesn't get a paycheck for the work she does.
But lying and withoulding money doesn't make it just yours either. So spending and saving should be known by both partners.
I've been home for over 10 years and it's been OUR money since day one, no doubt about that.
