Inlaw or Outlaw?

Hi,

I have a terrible relationship with my mother in law.

I have been married for over 10 years and have two great kids.

I feel I am very kind and thoughtful.I dont understand why my mother-in-law is so hateful.

She praises her other sons wife and their kids.

The other dil is a complete polar opposite of me in every way.

I am a sahm,hospitable,and traditional.

My sil has a great career and preppy in personality.

I am also another race than my mil and sil.

Yet as far as culture we come from the same type of background,upbringing and lifestyle.

I am completely on the outskirts of the family.

Which is very dissapointing ...........but I hear very common in my situation.

I am strong for my dh and kids but it pains me how we are treated as an after thought and second class.

Does anyone else have issues with an inlaw?I would love advice.

I would also love to hear about loving relationships with inlaws too?
