What was it like when you first went on them? What is it like now? I am asking because I am going to ask my doctor about them. I am depressed and I have thought about suicide. I just want to be happy for once in my life.

It took a couple weeks for them to kick in, but once they did I felt SO much better.

Are you on antidepressants now? Have you spoken to your doctor?

I feel a ton better on them. I'm on cymbalta for depression/anxiety.

My so says he can tell a total difference when I'm on them. I'm not so overwhelmed

Sometimes it takes awhile to find the right one and the process can be frustrating due to the side effects. I personally found that diet and exercise worked better for me, but that's not the case for everyone.

It takes about a month to reach theraputic levels. It may take a couple if tries to find something that works for you. It's worth it.

It depends on the medication, but I felt a lot better when I went on meds for the first time. I was a little light headed, but other than that I felt great.

I've been on citalopram for a week now and it makes me drowsy like I'm stoned but I feel better then I have in a long time. Just talk to your doctor they will see what's best for you and good luck.

You cant just take meds, and snap be better.  You need therapy ,mindfulness, and a good support system of friends and family.
