If you stay home why can't you? **Edit**

If you stay home why can't you keep your dishes done and laundry caught up?  I am not trying to be a bitch or start drama, but I have seen several posts with women complaining that their husbands get upset when dishes aren't done and laundry is backed up.

I tend to agree.  I don't get it.  I stayed home with my oldest for two years.  I always had laundry and dishes done.  I don't get why it's an issue??  I get having days where you feel lazy or you are super busy with errands, but there is really no reason that the dishes can't get done.  IMO of course.

I have several friends now that stay at home and this is a daily fight with their DH's and them and I am sorry, but I side with the husband.  I am not saying a SAHM doesn't have a job.  I am not saying a SAHM's days aren't hard.  Just saying dishes and laundry are not that hard to stay on top of when you stay home.

***EDIT*** When I say laundry caught up I mean not having ten loads of laundry just sitting there.  I don't mean you have no laundry to do.  That is rare for anyone in the world.  I am not that unrealistic.

In our house, the kids are the primary focus during the day. They are home-schooled, between doing their school work with them, taking them on field trips, to their other classes and play-dates. Our days are pretty full!

That being said. We keep up with the house pretty well. Sometimes it gets out of control but then the whole FAMILY helps get it back under control.

I don't get it either.
I am a SAHM, I do all the house work, he does the work that pays the bills. It's a fair trade IMO.
Some people don't know how to schedule their time. My dad and stepmom are a perfect example. They run around talking about how busy they are, but really if they organized their life they would have so much free time!

The rest of the house is always clean i get maybe two days off a week sometimes less because i am a manager and always having to fill in for do something. But i have tried bieng a SAHM and it was always harder to get stuff done because i just wanted to be lazy. (not saying everyone is like that)

well let see I have 3 kids all under the age of 5. All three have doctors appointment. My 2.5 year old has speech therapy. I have to go to the grocery store and pay bills and keep the ENTIRE house running. I usually do have all the dishes and laundry done but if its not done one day out of the month I dont stress about it and/or care what supermommys think about it. Also my husband never says a dang word if something doesnt get done at home. He knows what I do everyday and says there is no way in the world that he could do even half of what I do.

I can and I do. "A maid in the house, a chef in the kitchen and a whore in the bedroom'', that's me! And I manage to paint 3-7 hours every night while everyone is asleep and my last painting sold for 750.00. I have 2 kids (5 and 2) and am pregnant with the 3rd. I will say this though... Though there's never a shortage of clean clothes, the laundry is never, ever truly 'done' is it???

I don't get it either!  I work outside my home and I still make sure everything gets done when I'm off work!
