I Have To Admit, These Really Bother Me

Beauty Pagents for kids. Like the ones on Toddlers and Tiaras. I only watched parts of that show a handful of times, because I just couldn't stand how those little girls were being made up to look like grown ups. Some of them would start crying because they were tired, or didn't want to be made to do what they were doing. I am sure there are some kids that are really having a great time doing it though. I personally know someone who has her daughter very involved in the whole thing, and she  and her husband are crazy about it too. That is the reason I am posting this anyonomysly. On the off chance she is on CM, I would not want to hurt her feelings. I just wonder is all the time and effort worth it? Is the prize money worth it? Is it an enjoyable activity, or are these people just exploiting their kids? I honestly can't look at those girls and not think of Jon Benet Ramsney, and how there was never justice for that poor little girl. Also, I am not saying that parents who have their girls in these things are bad, to each their own. I just really don't get it!

Trash.

Look at these idiots. That poor little girl. Fat mama living vicariously through her daughter. Any child can win a pageant at that age.

Two things.

Did anyone notice there is hardly anything in that family's house besides racks of paper goods?

And I am willing to bet that that little girl ends up an alcoholic and possibly a drug addict.

Good God I can't stand that show!!! I don't know how these moms can live with themselves. It teaches the girls that they need to be pretty to win, BUT, they're not pretty enough on their own...They need fake tans, fake hair, fake teeth(flippers), fake eyelashes, etc. To make matters worse, they then feed them pixie sticks and red bull to keep them energized! RED BULL!! That could easily give a child a heart attack! I'm completely disgusted by these pageants!

There is one or two that I think really enjoy it. I thought this little girl was adorable.

In Jayne's epi. she asked to practice! She just loves it, and you can tell.

Now the rest of them, like Mackenzie (but she is hysterical for a 4yo), and ughh Eden...blah. Everyone giving the kids pixie sticks, and Mt.Dew...no thanks. There was one where sisters were going aginst eachother, and the older one had zilch self confidence. She thought her little sister would win. The older sister did end up winning, but I hate that she felt that way about herself.

That little girl needs some speech therapy not Mountain Dew!
