I was raised Catholic....

but I feel like I should be Jewish.

I don't know why. Since I was a very small child I have felt a very strong connection to Judaism.

I'm considering learning more about the faith and converting but my family would disown me. I don't know what to do. I've been torn like this for years.

Just my confession. No one in my family knows I feel this way.

Why? What made you first think that way?

I have no clue. I have felt this way as long as I can remember. Something just feels right about it. I cannot explain it. On the outside they see me as a Catholic, but it just doesn't feel right. Like I'm betraying a part of myself.

But do you know anything about Judaism?

I was raised catholic too, I went a different way and my family and I just do not discuss it (irish italian roman catholic republican house hold). If you feel that you do not believe in the religion you were raised than you need look for what suits you, or else you risk=losing belief in everything

Quite a bit, but not all the inner workings. Because I feel this way, I read anything and everything I can get my hands on about the faith, but I still don't feel as though I know all that I should know. I feel that I've learned as much as I can on my own. To learn more I feel that I would need to be more proactive about it, like speaking with a rabbi but I wouldn't be able to keep that from my family. I've been hiding how I truly feel for years.
