I was reading about balanced diets & what you guys feed your kids & I guess I'll air my buisness out.

Breakfast : sugar cereal & a juice box

Snack : a hostess snack; twinkies cupcakes etc.

Lunch : pizza rolls or corn dogs
Hot pockets basically microwave food.

Dinner : pork chops or chicken. hamburgers with fries or mac & cheese or potatoes most likely scalloped or mashed

Dessert. More pantry snacks

How can I change my children's diet but not go broke at the grocery store

Whole wheat toast, oatmeal, things of that sort for breakfast, fresh fruit goes over great with my kids they LOVE apples & bananas for snack, lunch we usually have left overs or sandwiches, some crackers (like goldfish ones) & half an apple, banana or whatever fruit they want. And heres the big part, supper, its all homemade, so I know what goes in it & it goes further than boxes or frozen meals. Like when I make chicken & noodles, I buy a whole chicken & make my egg noodles (very simple) & what we dont eat (because it makes a ton) I freeze! Dont let your homemade stuff go bad in the fridge, if there is enough for lunch, freeze it!

I dont hardly spend anything at the store because I make all our noodles, bread, muffins, buscuits, cream of chicken & mushroom, pie crusts for pot pie, I buy fruit, veggies, staple items, & meat sometimes, we make alot of wild game foods cuz SO hunts.

Well, first off, get rid of the packaged snacks. I buy them every once in a while, they are a special treat for when my son eats a really healthy meal FIRST. If you don't have 'em around a lot, they don't eat them a lot.
Second, 100% juice instead of boxed crap, and whole grain cereal. Or, for breakfast, my son has the carnation breakfast chocolate milk (lots of vitamins but still sweet) with whole grain white toast with cinnamon, or a yogurt. They need some protein in the morning, mama!

Yea they really are, we.never buy anything that's not fresh and our grocery bill is always really low, when we bought those kinds of things it was super high, not.only are we all healthier now but our wallets are slightly fatter

First of all, don't believe everything these women say. Most of the crap that is said on here is probably complete bullshit. I don't even believe 1% of the women on this site. You believe EVERYONE on here feeds their kids food made from scratch? Anyways instead of sweets give them yogurt, nuts, applesauce, crackers, cheese, fruits. I also cook meat, chicken, pork and I cook fresh veggies on the side. Whole grain bread. Sweets are ok in moderation.
