Because two adults with the mental capacities of children probably aren't going to make the best decisions when it comes to child care.

That is sweet, but that child is going to get to an age where she is more developmentally advanced than her parents and is probably going to have a lot of responsibility for them.  That isn't necessarily fair to the child.
