I want to join the local ymca daytime only when my kid is at school but the monthly rate is 56.00 a MONTH.  BUt if I'm a poor *wink wink* single mom my rate is 22.00   fuck that I'm going to lie  Why should I pay more because I'm married.

UPDATE

sweet just went down there with my pay stub and id. They took my story at face value. Just gotta fill out the paperwork and I'm in on a sliding scale. ANd I get a free water bottle and 3 training sessions. SCORE

Probably because they figure you have the potential for twice the income then.

At our Y you have to provide tax returns. Have fun taking away money that could help a family who actually needs it, I guess.

You have to provide proof of everything. I think its ridiculous to lie.

I will have my tax stubs and my meager job will qualify me.  Perhaps I'm newly single ;)

My husband's job pays for half of our YMCA membership. It's pretty nice of them =)
