He has 2 bottles a day. One at nap and one at night. Sometimes he's cranky and asks for one, so I give him one. What do you do that others would frown at?
Edit to add some information because I'm tired of saying the same thing over and over again.
Ok, his bottles consist of WATER. Water will not rot teeth, sugars in milk and juice will. Sippy cups will do the same thing BECAUSE OF THE SUGAR IN LIQUID. It has nothing to do with the shape of the nipple, the material that the nipples are made out of, etc. Yes, prolonged use will mess with the structure of his teeth, but it's not like he walks around with a bottle in his mouth.
For those of you who are suggesting I introduce a sippy cup, do you think he only has something to drink twice a day? Also, I'm not going to reintroduce a sippy. He drinks out of a regular cup...I threw away the tops about 2 weeks ago.
I don't know, I guess he's a little old but it's your kid! You're his mama, do what you think is best!
Have you taken him to his first dental appt? He is supposed to have it by his first year, if you ask them they can tell you in better detail what happens to his teeth. It can affect his adult teeth as well, I would suggest talking to his dentist. I really am not trying to be a bitch, but my niece had to have her 4 front teeth pulled out because they rotted. My sister put her to bed with a bottle every night, it was milk and that is what happened to her teeth. They were pulled when she was just over 3!!!

That is so bad for his teeth, I just had to throw that out there. Hey your kid though, your dental bill so do what you want.
What's so bad for his teeth? They're not bucking out.

I make my 4 yr old twins nap because they get crankkyyy! I give them sweets as a bribe and they have tv in their room and the worst one I spank *GASP*

That is why you should never put them to bed with a bottle but they can still have milk before bed just make sure their teeth get brushed before the go to bed. For my dd it is a comfort thing she will be 2 in a few months and she has a sippy with milk before bed but we brush her teeth before she gets into bed.
