What do you REALLY want for Mother's Day this year?
I was talking with one of the writers from the Stir who is planning to write an article on the "25+ Things Moms REALLY Want for Mother's Day" and we'd love to get your input!
Beyond the conventional gifts, what what would you be thrilled to wake up to find on May 13th?
i dont know. i want to feel special, but i know it'd never happen. DS is only 6 so other than school stuff, he has no idea... SO is too poor to do anything, or even really think of anything for me. i havent gotten a present from him for ANY holiday since we've been together- so mothers day is def out.
i want to know that something was planned good enough, to where i dont have to worry about stuff. SO says "hey lets go out!" and i'm stuck trying to figure out if i have enough money, if i have a sitter, and all that. i want all that taken care of, so i dont have to worry about it.
honestly- i guess what i really want, is to live on an island where no holidays were celebrated so then i wont get my hopes up- only for them to crash down when no one realizes that its my bday, or that i'd like a christmas present, or that i'm actually a mom as well.
i'ma go cry now.
I would love to wake up to find my S/O in my bed in the morning. We both are divorced and we both have chosen to not sleep over at each others houses. Just not right because of our kids, divorce has left our kids so raw, and they need time to heal. There will be plenty of "us" time soon enough. there are 6 kids between us, 3/3,
I just want my kids to make something for me. I don't need money spent on an unnecessary gift.
I'd like to wake up with my bags packed for a getaway weekend with my dh and kiddos. That would be so much fun, not have to plan or pack everyone. Oh man that would be a dream come true.
My dh did plan us a trip once, but I still had to pack, and I packed all the wrong things cause I didn't know where we were going. Lol, course I got to go shopping when we got there. (It was a cruise)!
