I feel like shit for it too.

Last week i worked 55 hours, thats from 10 pm to 8 am, plus two hours a day of driving. (6 days last week, third shift). Sunday was my only day to catch up on my sleep, but my DD got up at 7:30am and my SO was having bad back issues to where he couldn't get up. So i got up with her, fed her, bathed her, let her play. Fed her lunch and laid her down for a nap. I went to lay down and my SO asked me to help him to the bathroom, so i did. Then he took a shower so i helped him. I made him an emergency visit with a chiropractor that we know. He went to his house to get an adjustment because the guys practice is not open on sundays.

Anyways my DD woke up from her nap as soon as he left. I fed her lunch and put the gate up in the playroom and laid down on the couch to take a nap before i left for work. She didn't like that and crawled on me, piled toys on me, put her music box next to my face. I read to her, played legos, i would lay back down and try to nap. I think i got twenty minutes of sleep between five oclock and seven oclock. I gave up, got ready for work and kissed my SO and DD goodbye. My SO was putting her to bed as i was leaving.

Anyways, i got half way to work and called him and told him to get her back up and feed her. (He got home as i was getting up).

I am the world worst mom. I know that i forget to eat, but thats no excuse to forget to feed my DD. I deserve bashing and i know it.

******EDIT******

You guys are awesome! I thought i was alone, i have never forgot to feed her before. You made me feel so much better and not alone. Thank you!!!!

My kids won't let me forget to feed them.
I'm sure she will be fine, if she was starving you would have known.

I did that the other day. I got about 2 hours of sleep the night before, then around noon my daughter tells me she's hungry but I was doing something so I told her to hold on a little while and I'll go make her something, but then the maintenance guy came and I laid her down for a nap and completely forgot that she hadn't eaten. I felt like crap too.

I think we have all done this at one point or another. What matters is that you rememberd.

No bashing here, I did something very similar a few days ago.  Your not a bad mom.  She will not even remember tomorrow.

She's getting fed, that's what's important. Everyone makes mistakes.
