I have, but not to save water just if I have to go while I'm already showering. I try to avoid it though because I think it's weird.

If I have to go that bad, sure.  :)  In Europe, they often have a hole in the bathroom and nothing more... at least back in the 80s when I was there.. so peeing into a drain that is going to the mainline along with all the other dirty water/toilet waste is nothing to me.  ;)

if i need to go, and i'm about to take a shower, i just wait until I'm in there. it is weird, but i've mastered the art of squatting and aiming

Same lol and its proven that its healthy to do so. Lessens the chance of a uti for women

Yes. I do it almost every time I take a shower. My GYN suggested it because I have IC, where your bladder doesn't have a strong wall and blisters all in it. It gives you multiple uti's a month and hurts :(.
After I started peeing in the shower, it helped a lot with the irritation and uti's.
It saves toilet paper too! Lol
