Nice to know you could care less about the kids safety!
It has been nothing but sleet and freezing rain since 3am and every single district around us is cancelled but ours! the street in front of my house is nothing but a solid sheet of ice as is my driveway I can only imagine how bad the back roads are! I called the superindentdants office and asked why and I got "because the roads aren't that bad" I told him he was an idiot if he believed that crap and he obviously cared more about the money than the safety of the kids! And he told me "thats why we bought new buses was for their safety" Well dumbass new buses aren't gonna mean shit when your bus drivers can't drive in normal conditions! Needless to say my kid is home!
LOL yup my kids are in school today as well... our district is always the last to make a decision and it's rare for our Super to close the school... but occasionally he'll call for a delay.
It irritates me so much. On more than one occasion I have kept my kids home in spite of what the school says.
I got told "I'm sorry thats your opionon but I think I've made the best decision" UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Its not like we don't have a ton of snow days built in!
