Would you let your child spend the night at a friends of the opposite sex house, knowing that they are just friends, and nothing else is going on?
I had a lot more male friend than girl friends growing up. My mom would not let me spend the night with them. Not because she was worried we would do something, but she was worried what people would think of me. She loosened up a little when I was 15 and let me spend the night with my bestfriend a few times.
Another post got me curious. So would you let your child spend the night with a person of the opposite sex, if they were just friends?

No I would not. Although my best friend was a boy from age 11-15 and I stayed at his house all the time, he lived four blocks from us so it wasn't a big deal but I wouldn't let my kids because you never know. Just because I didn't have those feelings for my friend doesn't mean my kids wouldn't and I just wouldn't promote that. They grow up fast enough as it is.
