Interracial Couples - Do you have issues with people accepting you?

I am white and DH is black. I used to notice it ALOT in the beginning (6 years ago) - The stares, the attitudes, etc. My family was very accepting, his took a while. I have grown to just ignore it, but there are times where we'll go out dancing or something, and I get called names, etc.

 

How do you guys handle it? Are there sarcastic comebacks you guys make, or just ignore it?

Smh it's 2012 and people still act that way?? I'm sorry but I would ignore it and hold my head high.

 I either ignore it or tell them to go f*ck themselves. What I do with my heart is none of anyone's business but mine and the guy I choose to give it to. If they have a problem with my relationship...it's exactly that. Their problem.

I'm not even worried about it. I wouldn't want to be associated with people like that anyways. I am as white as you get and dh is korean and native american. We don't get too many stares, but every now and then I have seen.

I'm black and DH is white.  Once in a while we get called names and we look at each other and act surprised that the other is a different color.  Their reactions are hilarious!

Actually both his family and my mom were really accepting of our relatioship. Hes mexican and I'm russian, I don't know how my family overseas feels about him but I'm not too worried about them in the first place.

I did however notice that more latina girls kept staring me down whenever we would go out to eat, or out anywhere period. His friends were always really nice to me, just other girls that really didn't seem to like me. Other than that, I've really not noticed much of people being rude and starting. But I tend to be oblivious when it comes to stuff like that because I simply don't care.

I ignore it. Now if they were to say something and I heard it... Then yea... I cuss em out lol. I'm Hispanic and Dh is black.

Im a hungarian israeli abd my husband is japanese. Ive had people ask questions but never any judgment

I guess its just a woman thing? LOL. I have never noticed who anyone else is with so, I would never stare at anyone.
