Since this group seems to be busier that NC lately, I'll ask here. I've watched a lot of movies in my life and I'm about to run out (haha, but no seriously), so I want to know what YOUR favorite movie is and WHY, and if you wanna, your SO's and kids' favorite movies and why also.

WHY are they your favorite movies?

I just watched The Kings Speech and loved it because of the relationship between the prince and his speech therapist.  I don't normally like period pieces or serious movies and had to force myself to watch it, but ended up loving it.

Pearl harbor its a great war movie with lots of adventure and romance HOWEVER the almost ending makes for a real tear jerker

I can never watch Shawshank Redemption enough. Great actors, great story, great ending.

The color purple. Again great actors, story line, ect

Ever After A Cinderella story. Who doesn't have a favorite love story? It has lots of humor, good actors, nice happy ending.

Moulin Rouge- partly cuz I like to sing along and also cuz I love the Love story. I still cry at the end.
