The baby is getting big now she's almost 15 months. He doesn't like me to feed her in public anymore and he gets so embarrased when she walks up and tries to pull my shirt down but I don't want to stop yet because she will just cry and cry if I don't breastfeed her. she won't take a bottle either. Is there any way to stop breastfeeding and keep the baby happy at the same time?

My ds is 18 months and still breastfeeding...if you're still happy breastfeeding her, keep going. Your dh needs to be supportive. If his only reasons are that he is embarrassed...he needs to grow up.

YOu don't have to stop completely can you just nurse her at home? Could that be the happy medium for, you hubby and daughter?

I am currently still nursing my 20 month old. I would love to know the answer to this as well. She has no plans to stop nursing at all. And she still nurses actively throughout the day. I try to keep her busy and that seems to work sometimes but other times she will not stop crying untill I nurse her.

I will be glad to get my boobs back to myself, but sad that my special time with my little girl is over. Actually my breastfeeding journey in general will be over since she is my last child.

I'm kind of worried about this. What ARE you supposed to do if mom is ready to stop and the child isn't?n

At 15 months, she's too old for a bottle anyway.   Go shopping and let her pick out some fun, colorful, big-girl sippy cups.   Breastfeed at home.

my ds is 24 months and my dd is 9 months. They're both still bfing. :) In public too. Though, not usually at the same time, because that shows a bit more skin than I'm comfortable with.

You can try to pump if you like, but really they recommend breastfeeding until at least 2 years and self weaning is good too. I'd let your husband know that and just tell him that you're giving the baby the best and while you respect his feelings, there's really no reason to be embarrassed and he's only embarrassed because of the way society has been taught to view breasts and breastfeeding.

I self weaned. I nursed my dd for 18 months, and told my exH that that is what i fely was best for her at the time. Gradually she will let you know when she's ready to wean if you are trying to self wean.
