What would YOU do??? **Update**

My 9 yr old son has been sick, due to medicine and not eating, has been vomiting since monday, I can get him to eat a little, but not very much, which is soooo not helping his situation. He has lost at least 2 pounds since. IMO I think he is under weight for his age and height, but his doctors aren't concerned.
So my question is, would you take your child to the er, talk to his doc, or what? When I can get him too eat he starts feeling better but then he stops eating again and gets sick again. He has not has his meds for 2 days now, except for his sleeping meds, so I really do not know what to do. What would you all do?
Feel free to bash, I am at a loss and some of you "wonderful, know it all" moms would tell me how stupid I am to ask for advice, but I do not know what to do.
UPDATE: I called his ped and his psychiatrist for info and waiting to hear back.
definitely talk to a Dr - could be a reaction to the medication, could be bad, you need to check it out
also I don't know what you are feeding him but you can try the following that is great for hydration : coconut water (better than water or gatorade) and feed him small doses of plain boiled white rice, you can try also plain yogurt (it coats and soothes the stomach)
I would take my child to the ER. Just bc someone's a dr, it doesn't mean they're a good one. My son almost died due to a dr that is no longer allowed to practice in my state...no, I didn't sue him, but others who lost children did. When I took my son to an allergist (against his regular doctors advice), that's when he started getting better, fast. Within 2 weeks he had been better than he had been in months...my son used to vomit almost yr around bc his asthma, acid reflux, allergies were sooo bad...he never ate either. Once he started seeing an allergist...it saved him, I have no doubt. He is now a healthy 12 yo.

Quoting Anonymous:Because he is autistic, bipolar and has adhd, if he was not on sleeping meds, dr regulated of course, he would be up for days, then start hallucinating.

Why is your nine year old taking sleeping meds?
Wow, maybe set up an urgent visit to the Dr., see if they can fit you in today...Good Luck
He has been on the same meds for two months now. I am giving him crackers, plain rice, rice krispies cereal, without milk and sugar, and dry bread.
