My son was expelled from preschool. (update)

I am so embarrassed to say that. He has been acting up in school. I punish him and nothing seems to work. I talk to him and constantly tell him he has to listen and be good. At home he is a little hyper but for the most part a good kid. He is an only child so he is spoiled a little. Well today they had a valentine's party. A kid tried to take his candy and he punched him and bloodied his nose. He is expelled 10 school days. He goes 3 days a week. He is not used to sharing and being around other kids. I just don't know what to do. I'm afraid of future problems with him.

I'm appealing it with the board of education. I had a talk with my son today. Come to find out this same kid has been picking on my son for weeks. A few weeks ago my son got in trouble for pushing him. But this kid kept purposely knocking down his castle he built with blocks. This kid spit on him and takes things from him all the time and the teachers do nothing. I can see where my son was coming from, there is only so much he can take.

That is called being suspended. Expulsions are worse. Still not good, but at least he can go back. Who in your home has a temper and lashes out at people easily? Either by being verbally/physically abusive. That is learned behaviour.

How old is he? Kids in my class have given each other bloody noses. I've only known 1 child to be kicked out perm due to themselves. He destroyed a classroom injured 3 kids and 2 teachers. He stopped when I walked in because I'm not nice and flipped on him. Honestly his mom is lucky my daughter wasn't there that day she was in his class and she knew he had been having violent spells

Well that's a personal decision. I'm sure you will do what's best for your son.

If he can go back, he is suspended, not expelled.  Just for the information.  He needs to talk to a therapist.

No one. I don't even spank him.
