Please get the facts before having a tubal ligation that you may regret.

Why? And what did you have to do to get it reversed?

I paid 5000 dollars and had abdominal surgery to have it reversed.

I only want the one kid we have, my hubby agrees. Our second baby is a puppy we're getting Saturday.
I asked my doctor for info on getting my tubes tied. She looked at my kid, then at me like I was crazy and said my kid needed a brother or sister. That and I was too young. I'll ask a new doctor when we move and see where that takes us. Though, I'm still not 100% sure. Maybe I want another one in 5-7 years? Maybe I won't?

I got it reversed mostly because I wanted another baby and deeply regretted my decision but also because of what it did to my hormones. My cycles were insane. My hair was falling out. My skin itched non stop. I had very long and painful periods.

I'm going to talk to my doctor tomorrow about having a tubal after my baby is born. I've tried several birth control methods and none of them work very well for me. I think this might be the only way to be positive that I won't have another unplanned pregnancy. This is baby #2 conceived on birth control and although I love my daughter and baby on the way, I just can't afford for this to happen again. My question is, I've heard that the body can heal itself and basically un-do the procedure and it's possible to still get pregnant. Is that true?

I've had 3 c sections so i got guilt into having the tubal ligation since a 4th is high risk. I'm young (24) and should have never had it done. It's a lot easier to go on BC or get an iud than have to pay thousands and thousands of dollars to have it reversed. Not to mention major surgery.

Meh, I don't have a choice.  I had two ectopics in a row, chance of another is 50% and I'd rather not risk dying by staying on birth control for the REST of my childbearing years - I'm 26!  I lost part of my left tube with the first ectopic and so he is only ligating the right one, but I think I may ask if he can just remove both of the tubes so I don't have to worry about them growing back.  Don't know if he will, but it won't hurt to ask.  I am hoping I am one of the lucky ones who won't have any troubles but with my track record....yeah. Oh well.
