another post got me thinking about "was I molested?"

what if it's by another child? When I was yonger (around 11) my brother who is three years older than me took my hand and made me touch his penis when he thought I was sleeping (i was faking but got wierded out when I felt that and "woke up". He also sometimes spied on me in the bathroom. I know because one time he commented on a certain way that I did things in the shower (something he only would have known if he had been watching me). So what is that classified as? I know it was inappropriate but I have never considered myself  molested or sexually assaulted.

I know kids get curious and everything but the fact that he was 14(?) makes me wonder. I am not sure what to classify it as either...a pervert most definitely

Child or not, if it was unwanted sexual contact/conduct you were molested. Everybody reacts to things different ways; the fact that you don't feel violated doesn't necessarily mean you weren't.

My brother was considered a child when he molested me. I was 4 and he was 10 when it started. I use to think well it can be molestation because we were both children. Not true. What he did to me ruined and changed me for most of my life. He knew.

1 mom liked this
A similar thing happened to me with my cousin and I don't consider it abuse. He wanted me to touch his privates and he wanted to touch mine. I thought it was weird but let it happen. People are far too quick to slap on labels like abuse and molestation. Kids play doctor all the time.
