IMO this show has some very unsavory characters.

Spongebob is kinda an idiot who lets people walk all over him and makes bad choices.

Squiward has a bad attitude and treats friends like an a**.

Patrick....well there's a "character" who needs some special attention.

Mr Krabs hords money doesnt share and treats everyone like crap.

Plankton is always trying to steal.

Am i the only one who has a problem with this show? Honestly, i dont like my girls watching it. Looking for honest opinions on this. Am i overreacting?

Here is a video of spongebob getting caught watching "porn"

Actually look it up there has been a study this show causes add in children bc the scences go by so fast compared to children watching things like caillou where the scences are set for their mind to handle and not try to speed it up. Google it!

I've been watching it for the past 13 years. I love it and so does my son.

its just a cartoon its our job to teach our children and by doing that they should know not to imitate what they see in a silly cartoon.

I'd take a 48 hour marathon of SB over 1 episode of Caillou. :P

I've read that study.

I honestly agree with Nickelodeon, though. Simply put, it wasn't a well thought out study. I don't think it proves much of anything.

Do describe it. I am betting it wasn't porn at all.

I really do hope that my child is more influenced by my husbands and my behaviour than some animated sponge on TV.  I notice that he acts like we do and I am proud that TV does not effect his behaviour as much as some of you believe it does.  TV is not the teacher of manners and how to act but I am.  If I see something that I think needs addressing on any TV program I will use it as an opportunity to discuss the situation with my children.
