And I'm not sure what to do about it. I have two four month old chihuahuas. One is sick. When I came home from work, he was just lying on the floor. He is awake but he will not get up. His breathing is labored and he has moaned a few times. Usually he is jumping with excitement when we get home. Today I barely got a tail wag. The one who is not sick is pacing frantically around her brother. They are extremely close. I don't want Rio to die :(

I guess you don't always get what you want. I had a friend rush him to the vet. But he died on the way there. My girls are going to be heart broken and so is his sister. My other pup Chiquita has been yelping since rio left. I have never seen two dogs as close as they are. I don't even know what happened, I never will.

Was he vaxed? My first thought would be parvovirus if not.

Oh no. Take them to the vet, it could have parvo which is highly contagious to the other dog

Aw, I am sorry! I have a chihuahua too. She was very sick a few months after I got her and I had to rush her to the vet. We never did know what was wrong but they were able to save her. Take comfort in the fact that you still have one and that he didn't suffer long. I would check around the house and make sure there's nothing he might have gotten into that could make his sister sick too. It's hard to lose a pet...Been there a couple of times. I'll be thinking and praying for your family.
