Plan B?

What can you tell me about Plan B ladies?  It's supposedly NOT the same as the "abortion pill" right?  So it just prevents conception and doesn't actually abort a fetus, RIGHT?  I honestly don't know but I've known people who've said they took plan b and still got pregnant, so I'm just assuming.  Do you think it is reliable?  If you were about to have sex and couldn't be on pills/shots for health reasons but didn't want to use a condom is Plan B a good alternative?  And how do you get it, do you have to see a doctor first?

From my understanding

It only prevents pregnancy, it's not 100% effective or even 99% so there is plenty room for error.

Also, say you got pregnant that night, meaning sperm got to egg, and you took plan b the next morning, well, the pill would not work anymore.

No Plan B should not be used as normal birth control, protect yourself or plan for a baby.
