giving my child a empty box for a present to prove a point!
the point? that i am funny and can still get one over on him from 1200 miles away! confused? let me explain:
my son (19) is in the Army. I send him a package for every holiday (valentines day, st patricks day, easter...) this year i am going to send him a box with just packing peanuts in it with a note taped to the inside bottem of the box that says "APRIL FOOLS! now clean up the mess you just made! love mom"
do you think that this is over the top mean?
like i said he will get a box for st patricks day (march 17) and the empty box for april fools day (APRIL 1ST) and then a box the following week with easter stuff in it.
but do you think its mean or funny?
edit: son is NOT deployed currently.
MOM TO:
DREW (7/92) AND TIARA (7/26)
Oh and BTW I wish I had thought of that when my brothers were still deployed. Though I do have a BIL that lives on the other side of the country...maybe I can talk my MIL into doing that.
