Circumcision and ear piercing.

Posted by Anonymous   + Show Post
I don't understand why women on here don't like to pierce their girl's ears but have no issue circumcising their son. I read often that women want to give their daughter that choice or they wait until they ask. Why not do the same about circumcision? Why not leave that choice up to the son.

Here's a link to the post I just recently read.

I'm on my phone, so I can't post links for you. If you're on facebook, look up The Guggie Daily; she has tons of great info. I think she has a blog too. But really, my 7yo can do it easily and, being 7, he isn't really into hygeine, so if HE can do it...

Quoting mystearica:

Where does it say that? My husband says that's it's not that easy to clean, and just makes life in general easier.

Quoting littleacorn:

Wrong. The human body isn't as poorly designed as you seem to think.

Quoting mystearica:

If not circ'd it has to be cleaned constantly. It's more hygenic. I'll wait til she asks to get her ears pierced.

I'd totally circumsize (my future DIL will thank me!) but I would wait till my daughter was 10 to pierce her ears the first time. 16 for a second hole.
