Do you think if someone is given a name like "Shaniqua" or "Billy Bob"...

They are at a disadvantage in our society?  That people are less likely to take them seriously?  Do you think if a they submitted their resume to a company the company would choose a "Jennifer" over a "Shaniqua" or a "Micheal" over a "Billy Bob"

Ok lol but my sil's name is still Bobby Jo. And she does spell it with a Y

Quoting bmw29:

Bobby is a boys name. Bobbie or Bobbi are girls names. Trust me on this one. ;)

Quoting heather.marie08:

It could be either, but I know a girl named Bobby Jo

That was rude of her parents. LOL Also half of my family and most of my in-laws THINK my name is spelled with a y but they're all wrong. They have even tried to argue with me on it.

I'm a Bobbie with no Jo, Lynn, Sue or Anne thrown in and I'm still pretty redneck. ;)

Honestly, when I hear a name like Shaniqua I think ghetto and when I hear the name Bobby Jo I think redneck... sadly, I think that's how alot of people think when they hear names like that
