I'm too poor to have a second child. *edit to update* **edit 2**
It hurts, but its the truth.
No matter how I figure it, the money just isn't there.
So today I went to the humane society and signed up to foster kittens that need bottle feeding.
What would you do?
**i got a call back from the humane society already. I will be picking up a litter of 3 kittens, supplies and 2 cases of formula on friday. Wish me luck!**
***there are so many replies suggesting I get government money, use a coupon, just have a baby anyhow and hope stuff works out or get a better job ect.
Perhaps I should have said "what would you do to relieve baby fever"
But all these suggestions honestly seem irresponsible and/or outrageous.
To clarify, I don't plan on having another child. I don't want to make the financial sacrifices and neither does my son.***

I breastfeed, not pumping, so haven't spent a dime to feed my son.
I coupon for the adult foods, so the diapers, wipes and clothes don't add any extra expense.
My daughter hasn't sacrificed anything because of her brother, now she has a forever best friend and relative if something happens to us.
There is never a perfect time to have kids.
I'm not rich. I don't leech off the system even tho I could. I make it work. Because I want two kids. If its not for u then don't have anymore. You sound pretty selfish anyways.

I'm glad you can do all that, but realize that those aren't things that everyone can do.
I'm a single mother with limited time, limited money. I don't have access to things like a garden or hunting (not that I could do that anyhow). You can't bet on a kid being healthy, stuff happens outside of your control, and breastfeeding also isn't always an option.
That being said, not having a child is something I have accepted. I am not going to try and have one.
I am however going to accept the path my life has, and find things to make me happy.
Like fostering animals that need it.

Quoting littleacorn:
And we cloth diaper (with diapers from Freecycle), breastfeed, homebirthed (for under $20), they are healthy so don't need medical costs, use secondhand clothes and toys. We grow a lot of our own food and my husband hunts, so our entire family of 6 can eat well on $160 a month, more than half of which goes to food for dh and I, so less than $80 feeds 4 kids for the month-- divide that by 4 and you have less than $20, so I say it again: kids cost less than pets.
Quoting stephanie647:
Well one, I'm not getting a new pet.
Two. In what world does a pet cost MORE than a human child??
You can't be serious?
I have a cat, that I've had for 16 yrs. I spend less than 20$ a month on her litter and food. She plays with the caps off my razorblades and scrap paper.
My son eats more than 20$ in a matter of days. Not even mentioning his tutoring, childcare, clothes, toys, medical supplies and prescriptions.
when he was a baby he needed bottles, diapers, forumla, clothes.
Let's be realistic

I did read the post, as well as a lot of the replies and a bunch of people responded that they did or would get a dog or other pet in a similar situation which makes no sense because, as I said, in my experience, kids cost less than pets.

How exactly am i selfish?
Because I realize my financial limitations and refuse to diminish my son's quality of life and doom a second child to a life of poverty? Or maybe I'm selfish because despite wanting a second baby I understand its irresponsible in my position so I made the difficult decision not to.
Must be a nice view up there on that high horse lmao

Well, you see boys have penises, right were little girls have their vaginas.
The boy puts his penis in the vagina and makes semen.
The semen goes into the girls egg, and bazinga! A baby grows in mommy's tummy!
