It hurts, but its the truth.
No matter how I figure it, the money just isn't there.
So today I went to the humane society and signed up to foster kittens that need bottle feeding.
What would you do?

**i got a call back from the humane society already. I will be picking up a litter of 3 kittens, supplies and 2 cases of formula on friday. Wish me luck!**
***there are so many replies suggesting I get government money, use a coupon, just have a baby anyhow and hope stuff works out or get a better job ect.
Perhaps I should have said "what would you do to relieve baby fever"
But all these suggestions honestly seem irresponsible and/or outrageous.
To clarify, I don't plan on having another child. I don't want to make the financial sacrifices and neither does my son.***

I understand completely what your saying mama. Some of these suggestions range from ignorant to downright irresponsible. I'm sorry for your situation, but I applaud you for making a sound judgement call. I agree that better jobs don't fall our of the sky, 12 diapers wont offset costs, and coupons wont touch daycare or food expenditures. A lot of these moms don't even get that there isn't a dh or so to fall back on for you, and school is very expensive. I'm so glad that fostering the kittens is helping to fill the void! Some of the critical thinking skills out there frighten me.:(

We adopted two kittens today. One only was the original plan, but We didn't want to separate them (brothers). They're 9 weeks old and precious!

The hardest part of fostering the little furries is going to be giving them back!!

GL! Don't forget you can't scoop the litter without gloves and a mask!

I was to poor too....lol....

We made do and made things work.

Try to come up with a plan to afford and compensate for another child.

If there is a will there is a way.

Have fun with your furbaby....I have one too....I love cats:)

I'm in the same boat. I have an only son and a step daughter. I used to want like 5 kids but I don't think I can do it financially or otherwise! Enjoy your only!

I would love to foster kittens! Though, I can't because I'd get too attached. Bottle feeding kittens was the best thing when growing up! Those little things get attached to you and follow you around like momma all their lives. Now I want to cry, I miss my kitties so much!
