Just curious. Mine was always pretty severe at first. I couldn't eat anything and I lost double digit pounds with each of my pregnancies. I did NOT have hypermesis.

Suppositories? My only experience with those is for constipation when I was working in nursing homes. Can you explain?

Quoting Kodysmommy928:

Pretty bad with my first.  I was given suppositories because I couldn't keep anything down.  It went away around the 6 month mark.  Never had it with my second.

Not sick. Fairly easy. Knock on wood.

It got worse with each one.  with my first, I had a shitty charity doc that didn't even try to help me, was never given meds or anything, just told to deal with it and i puked daily. I thought that was horrible BUT I got pregnant with #2 in Germany and was so sick that when the ambulance came get me off our army post, they brought a doctor with them and I was hospitalized for 19 days.  with #3, I kept losing weight and had a stellar, fantastic, amazing doctor that said if my meds didn't work she was going to admit me with a tube.  I was on prevacid, zofran and reglan every day.  They give zofran for nausea to chemo patients.

And if I forgot a dose, believe me, my stomach reminded me within the hour.

Quoting BetcCarter:

That is pretty scary! Was it like that with all your pregnancies?

Quoting mhaney03:

I was hospitalized and threatened with a feeding tube if my meds didn't work. with my 3rd pregnancy I had to take 3 different meds daily to not throw up.  I didn't gain a pound.

Mine wasn't bad at all. I just got a little nauseous around food. I think I only actually threw up once it twice

up to 5 or 6 times a day.. for more than half of my pregnancy. I could control it by snacking frequently starting early in the morning.. Still, I threw up A LOT. It was really hard on me, especially working full time. Ughh.. So glad that is all over with. Now, if I could just remember this when I am wishing I could have another baby! LOL..
