Mom Confessions Mom Confessions

I wasn't ready for this whole conversation today

We had an interesting conversation thanks to a little boy today.

He told DD that she is a Lesbian and will be going to hell.  She is 9 and had no idea what the word even meant.  His reason for saying it....He asked her out on a date and she told him she wasn't allowed to go out with boys on dates.

Who the hell let's their 9 year old date?

In the past this kid has told my DD that she has a "tight little ass", that she is smokin, and several other comments like this.

I remember in jr high this guy kept asking me out everyday. After about 3 months he asked me if I was a lesbian. I told him 'no I like men, not boys' and walked away. He left me alone after that.

Did you talk to her teacher, I'm guessing this happened at school?

It did happen at school.  But I haven't talked to the teacher yet.  Debating...I want DD to be able to stick up for herself.

He is 9.  He has a twin brother....and they are raised by their dad...so I wonder who he might have learned this from.

That's just sad that a 9 year old talks like that.

I would talk to the teacher first. Just make her aware to the situation so she can keep an eye out.

As the mom of a boy, I would be totally horrified if my son said those things. Mine repeated some lyrics to "I'm sexy and I know it" that got him in trouble and I made him apologize to the girl's parents.

I would be contacting the principal if it were me.
