Do you let your child run wild in restaurants?

I was out last night at a very posh restaurant, Denny's. Yes, I know, high class. We were seating way in the back, I mean WAY, like you could see the section unless you rounded a corner. My sis had her 2 month old and her 2 yr old. I had my 7,10, 15 yr olds. My 2 yr old nephew proceeded to climb the mountain of high chairs and bounce on booths. This particluar Dennys had a long booth running the entire back length of the place. My nephew gets on it and starts running back and forth singing Wheels on the Bus. I helped wrangle him as did my older kids but my sis was content to let him run alond the booth...
I know she is a "Waldorf" parent so I'm not sure if that had anything to do with her acceptance of his debauchery. I just can't remember my kids ever doing that crap. What says you?
ugh. no i do not. my old boss used to come into the bar i worked at and get wasted while her kids ran around barefoot almost making drunk people and servers trip.
Quoting Luv.My.Kidz:I would spank my kids asses if they acted like that in public
I'd do this too. Lucky we never have a scene in restaurants so far.
What is a Waldorf parent? In any case, no I don't let my kids do that.
yeah, no i wouldnt let my kids do that. but kids will be kids, which is why we RARELY go ouot to eat in a restaurant. they are just too little, and that babttle isnt worth it right now... trying to keep them well behved in that kind of setting makes the outing not nearly so fun. But, when we do go out, if they misbehave or are too antsy, one of us will take them outside to walk around for a few minutes, or if they are not just antsy but really just being disobedient they may get punished-timeout or something... but they are little kids, and they dont have the attention span or what not to really be able to sit through a whole meal in a restaurant imo. so, we adjust and make it work without being rude or letting them be rude to other patrons etc.
