I pledge my friendship to you. Through good times and in bad. In sickness and in health. Til death do we part.

He is married

What would you think?

You have hundreds of soul mates. They are someone who belongs to your soul family. Your child can be your soul mate, teacher, friend, boss, etc.

I think he has some feelings for you... Even if he doesn't act on it

Quoting Anonymous:

He told me once he thinks we are soul mates but we have never been more than friends

Quoting FLmom26:

I agree with you. He may very well be just a great friend, but this choice of words is a little out of the ordinary.

Quoting Nicoleb9:

I'd tell him that those things sound just like marriage vows because they pretty much are for the most part and that he shouldn't throw them around to anyone other than his wife.  I do not care what anyone here or elsewhere thinks.  I would be highly pissed if I were his wife.  Now everyone can commence with the crap about how they're just friends or how just because I don"t trust my husband and blah, blah, blah...

I would laugh and tell him the same thing back... Great friends are hard to come by sometimes

Absolutely don't need the weird getting crazy

Quoting FLmom26:

I've had a guy friend talk similarly to me. Yours and my circumstances are different, I'm sure, but when my friend started saying some things similar to this it made me very uncomfortable and I started distancing myself from him. We're still friends, but I make sure to keep that little bit of distance so nobody gets the wrong idea, you know?

Knowing all of my guy friends? I'd laugh and give them a hug!  I know them well enough to know it is strictly friendship!

He just sent me a text message out of the blue saying that. He's at a religious convention so maybe he got caught up in the moment. But he's always been ready to share his feelings so I wasn't completely caught off guard.

Depends, but I don't think I would jump to and conclusions.
