I have hepatitis C

I have the antibody. I have to get tested every 6 months. I shared needles in my past. Right now my viral load is at 0. It has been since I was first tested. I'm not sure what the chances of the viral load ever going up are. I can't get a straight answer from my doctors. I don't want my children to see me die from something I did to myself.

My uncle has had it for 15 years and was doing ok for awhile. Sadly he only has a few years left now. There is no straight answer to the disease some people do well on the treatments and some don't do well. Hopefully you get a long life free of serious side effects from it.

My cousin too, he had it for many years, received the treatments and got better but eventually the drugs stopped working and now he's got terminal liver cancer.

I've been tested every year for several years, through several clinics and doctors.
