I'm a stay at home mom of 5. 3 are in school and the other two aren't. My 4 year old I want in daycare to get use to not being with me all the time and all since she starts school in august.
My 3 year old is a different story. He doesn't listen to me what so ever, he makes any and every mess he can. He breaks everything possible and hurts people. I want him in daycare so I can clean. Lol. As weird as that sounds. I can't get anything done when he's home bc I'm constantly following him cleaning up after him.
It won't be long. Maybe 3 months tops. Does this make me a bad mom?
Oh and I'm hoping that daycare will teach him to listen to me better.

It doesn't make you a bad mom.. but not something I'd do.
I enjoy spending time with my kids too much to send them to daycare.

Even if he learns to listen at school, that doesn't mean he is going to listen to you. You have to set boundaries, and punishment. You are the parent.

And I don't see a problem putting him in daycare for you to get some cleaning done. But I do see a problem with you trying to make someone else teach your child to listen when you can't get him to.

Doesn't make you sound like a bad mom, every one needs a break. I dont know about other daycares, but the one I work at wont accept children if one of the parents stays at home (unless they are doing school).
