I'm sad- 'nothing' compared to many other's posts today, but still this hurts
My cell phone is broken and I have to replace it. No biggie, except that we used it for pictures for many of our kids' events and outings.
So why not just use the micro SD? Doesn't have one, not capable of it (yes, it's "that" old, lol)
The service provider disabled the drivers in it to be able to download them, because they wanted people to use THEIR service through their site.
Well, they never notified me and just "recently" stopped the service since so many phones have SD cards now.
I have about 100 pictures on this phone and can't get them off. :*-( Their recitals, first 'date' of my older, their scout outings, 5 years of pictures that we were *guaranteed* to be able to download off the phone. All gone.
I spent my WHOLE DAY on the phone being transferred back and forth between the manufacturer and the service provider trying to get this to work since the service provider screwed us.
And I can say that the manufacturer was so much more helpful and understanding.
I am leaving my service provider. They just were awful, rude, condescending (REALLy, THAT old??? WHY??? And you JUST got around to doing this?) and continually lied.
Gee, I'm sorry life got in the way of constantly using YOUR service to download pictures off my phone. I guess both my daughter and I shouldn't have had those surgeries, I guess me being laid up for over a year- eh, my daughter abused at school and us having the meetings, therapies, legal meetings, and so on- HECK with THAT!!! I should have made using THEIR service my FIRST priority!!
That's what one of them told me.
THey suck and now all those memories are gone. (:`,-(

That is WAAAAAAAAAAAY more than my service provider. They just suck. My husband thought he might have been able to help me find some 3rd party drivers and software, but he's away working so he can't. This phone most likely will be dead by time he gets back home.

THe battery is almost dead and my cousin's kid (who has severe behavioural control issues) was spazzing out and kicked my purse- right at my phone. So it's holding on, but not by much. I have a new phone to start using, but couldn't until we could try to get the pic off this one.

so the battery is the problem?
mainly, although my keys are 'sticking' now- they aren't fully registering each click on them (but it's 'usable'). The battery is only lasting a couple of hours each day so I have to keep it on the charger when not using.
But that's not why I can't get the pics off. The service provider deleted the drivers out of the phone before selling it- something they lied about. The phone was supposed to be able to download with data cable.
However, they decided to start a downloading service. Download your pics and stuff off using their service on their site. Well- they took down the site to help (and this is what they told me yesterday) encourage people to upgrade to a more expensive phone.
So it can't work with a data cable, wasn't able to have an SD card (any size, couple months 'too young' for that feature), and there's no way to download them through the service.
The only way would be to 'text' them to my email, which costs $.50 each. I have 100 pics on it from the past 5 years.
Life got in the way of us trying to get them off before now. According to them, the phone should have been our biggest priority. @$$holes
