Is marriage "just a piece of paper"?

I think people who say it's just a piece of paper are too scared to really committ to a lifelong union. Sure marriages end, but it's way harder to get divorced than it is to move out. And children deserve to be brought into a situation where there is the promise and pledge of stability. What do you think?

To me. Marraige is just an expensive piece of paper. No I'm not bitter. I just have no intentions, or dreams of getting married. =)

To me, marriage is a lot more than just a piece of paper. Its a commitment, and I take my vows seriously.

My marriage cost $200. That isn't that expensive.
