birth times! how long was yours?

Mine was quick, I started feeling cramps, like constipation, right after the needle went in for 5 hours. The doctor broke my water, then within minutes the cramps got VERY strong and I had a need to push. Active labour, where I was pushing was 13mins. And then little man was rushed off by the ped.
How long was everyone else in labour?

My first was 12 hours straight on full force labor. Don't know how to describe it any other way lol. My second progressed slow over about a day and a half. I started having mild contractions the day before first thing in the morning. Woke up about 1 am the next morning with excruciating pain. Went into the hospital was told I just had a urinary tract infection and was not even close to being in labor. Was sent home about 8 am, took a nap, woke up with more contractions and had her about two hours later on my living room floor, because after all, there was no way I was in labor? Ha. I only pushed about 3 to 4 times with both my kids before they were born, that part was the easiest.

56 hours with DS and 9 hours with DD. I pushed once with both.

Nope. I had an epi but that wore off almost 2 hours before he was born. I just laugh when in pain or nervous.

From the min I started "feeling" contractions to when she was out 90 min

I woke up at 3 in the morning and was in so much pain I

wasn't thinking very straight I walked around even took a

shower, I drove myself to the er because I didn't want to

tell my fiance I wet the bed (my water broke). When I got

there I was dialated to an 8 and they said I couldn't get an

epidural and that id have my baby in 30 mins, I called and

woke up my fiance and he got there just time for pushing =P

So two hrs in all, I either dialated really fast or went through most my labor in my sleep!

1: 18 hrs 3 pushes
2: 13 to 14 hrs 3 pushes
3: 9 hrs 1 push
4: 90 min no pushing
My body did all the pushing the last time on its own and with my third I pushed once then the nurse told me to stop because there wasn't any nurses and she wasn't allowed I deliver or touch the babies

From the time my water broke with each, about an hour. Pushed twice with the first and 3 times with the second.

by the time I realized I was in labor with

ds1 (8lb 6oz)-2 hours at hospital

ds2 (7lb 10oz)-4 hours at hospital

ds3 (11lb 3oz)-24 hours before emergency c-section

ds4 (8lb 3oz)-12 hours before c-section

A woman can't just "stop" giving birth and hold it can she?
