Hair Pulling....

I have been pulling my hair out since I was 13 but I have been doing it a lot more recently. I try not to but I can't help it. I don't have many eyelashes left and I look silly. Does anyone else do this?

Ummmmm no. See your doctor. My friend's daughter has this issue. I think it is an anxiety thing.

I think everyone has some kind of bad habit.. some are more extreme then others. I pick the skin around my nails until they bleed...

No....I think hair pulling, skin picking...it's a stress relief for anxiety. Try some stress-relief exercises and a mug of hot tea everyday...you might be super-anxious and holding a lot of stress inside. Sorry, hon. :(

Awww...thank you for being so sweet :) I haven't pulled the hair from my head since I was in HS but I notice with my eyelashes I get this tingly feeling as if I have some sort of infection brewing? Once I pull one....which sometimes I don't even notice I am doing it, I feel as if I didn't get the "right" one and pull another. A few hours later....I don't have many left :( I have been a little stressed and I do have Anxiety and Panic Disorder, but I have been taking my medicine. Anyhow, I will try the things you mentioned and hopefully this "urge" will go away soon. Thank you so much!

Thank you....but I am trying to find someone with the same issue that may have some info on how to break the urge. I have been to doctors and I'm on medication for Anxiety and Panic Disorder but would like to find some people that can link it to this. I will be praying for your friends daughter :)

Sorry, I thought this post was about hair pulling during sex lol.

I did have 2 friends in high school who pulled their eye lashes out. One had no eye lashes at all. Both were under huge amounts of stress and had unstable home lives. I hope you figure it out.

:( Do you bite your nails also? This is an actual urge. Like I NEED to do it.

I've been doing the same things since I was in elementary. It's comforting knowing I'm not alone. I have eyelashes missing and trying to grow back right now.

I used to pull out the hair on my head. In the back, by my neck. It was like an addiction. I don't have advice on quiting. I will be able to stop for a few months or even a year but then the urge gets too overwhelming and I start to pull again. Usually when I'm not pulling I'll have replaced the act with an equally unappealing obsession.

LMAO!!!! That just got me thinking....maybe that's why my husband shaves his head bald!!! He's scared I may start pulling his out. Lol! Yeah...it started in middle school. I had bald spots on my head and no eyelashes or eyebrows. I fought really hard junior year to grow them back for prom. I have always done it since then...just lashes and brows...but not with the urge I have had over the last few days. Thank you for your time :)
