Who isnt a photographer these days?

Posted by Anonymous   + Show Post

Are you a photographer? Do you think the title is extremely overused? Do you feel that your work is worthy of the title "Professional Photographer"? Do you want to throw yourself over a cliff, when you see people charge $25 for a session, and offer their Picnik edited photos on a disc?

Show off your work, if you're brave enough!

a few honest questions

what program do you use?

what cam do you have?

what dont you use a water mark?

do you at the very least have a facebook page for your photography?

what is your buisness name?

im being totally honest, i dont feel these are something i would pay for but i have seen worse. some are nice angles/ideas just a tad over/under done. i think you could benefit from a refresher photography class. you may find that by using more up to date edits and shots your client base will be larger :) im by no means a pro and still use a point and shoot lol i replied above lol but i do have my business set up and a smaller client base for graphic design currently, but im getting a dslr this year and cant wait to start studying and start a portfolio :)

I am in no way a professional photographer but I like to do it for fun and always include it in my hobbies.  I'm brave enough:

Well you've made some pretty dang rude comments to me frequently! Lol so much so that when I saw your sn I figured it was gonna be harsh lol. So I see you've been holding out your niceness on me, huh?!

*shakes fist*

Quoting Rain2Rinse:

I rarely ever make rude comments. I apologize if this one.comes across rude.

These are NOT professional quality photographs. If this is the way my wedding photographs turned out, I honestly think I would cry. Obviously, the bride knew what she was paying for, but still...

I can barely take a focused pic with my cell, so obviously you are way more talented than I am.

I don't like the way the title is thrown around.

So glad someone else bumped this... My SIL just said she's setting up her own photography business, and the first thing came to mind was this post. Lol She has no experience, or training what so ever, she just has a pricey DSLR, and photoshop. What a surprise!

These might have been okay SOOC but it looks like you have edited them to death. The goal is to capture the perfect image with the camera. Photoshop is for the little bit of enhancement your image might need not to fix your image altogether. By choosing you as a photographer your clients are putting you in charge of their memories. There's no turning back time to reshoot newborns. After the first 10 days your window is gone. And there's no rescheduling of weddings. If I was your client I would be very upset. If you can't give your clients the images they deserve please send them to another photographer. Nobody wants to have their special days ruined by a so called "professional" photographer that gives you back images you would be embarrassed to even display.

What?! I have made two comments to you in the past year. First, one saying I recognized your butt. I also said that even though you once said you sent semi nude pics to soldiers to show your patriotism, which I find stupid, since you reminded me of my fave porn star, you got a pass. You seem quite fond of your body, so I don't see how you could have taken that as an insult. It wasn't sent out as one.

I really am nice, ask anyone! :p

Ahhh... yeah, I can see that! I think a couple of them it looked nice, but i see what you're saying.

The blur adds too much distraction, making it look like there's too much going on

Quoting andiecheyenne:

May I ask how they are crowded? Noy trying to sound like a bitch or anything.

Quoting Anonymous:

I'm sorry but your photography sucks. You crowd your pictures and make them look very unbalanced
