So freakin frustrated

So DD does dance twice a week.  She loves it.  She was also on the competition team.  DH thinks it is a waste.  He thinks it is all about the three minutes she spends on stage at recital.  He never got to do anything growing up.  Now he is being an ass about dance.  He doesn't want to help out as far as taking her to class or anything.  He thinks it is a waste of money and time.  She is really good at it.  She loves it.  This is just one issue we are having right now...but I need some tips on how to make him see how important this is.

He should only need to see her face light up at the mention of dance to be on board. :/ Maybe have your DD write him a letter explaining why SHE feels dance is important to her. :)
