Moms Who Let Their Kids CIO...

You will never JUSITFY to me that what you're doing is right. It is a BAD parenting style. And it's for lazy parents who don't want to spend the time soothing and comforting their child...figuring out what they really need. I have never once let my kids CIO, and I never will. It creates insecurity in kids. I can't stand to hear my babies cry, I can't imagine sticking them in their crib, shutting the door, and letting them cry for however long. I am NOT talking about setting your baby in the crib for 5 minutes so you can get something done. I'm referring to moms who use this as a parenting style to "teach" their kids. I shake my head at you.

I have never let any of my children CIO. I have held and cuddled all of my children even if it meant sleeping up right in a chair while holding them while they were sick. My oldest is a 28 week premie and the hospital where she was born let her just screem and cry for hours( I lived 4 hours away and my now ex wouldn't let me go see her without him). She is my only slightly insecure one and I feel so guilty about it. The only time I let my son(he's 20 months) cry is if I am in middle of something and can't carry him around everywhere at that moment. It only is for a few moments until I can get back to him.

and i think coddling children is BAD parenting - and as a daycare provider, i've come across LOTS of coddled children. they ALWAYS have a VERY hard time adjusting.
