Is the economy really bad right now?

Is there a major job shortage?

I'm just curious as to what everyone thinks. Today at the mall I saw atleast 10 stores with hiring signs in the windows. I know that job availability isn't the same everywhere though. So what's your input?

I believe it's still bad in many places including the town where we live.

There are many temp or part-time jobs out there, but I imagine not many of them are family-sustaining jobs.

In our area, the economy is WAY better than it was in 2009/2010.

People don't want to work at the bottom... That's what's wrong, Americans are entitled.

Instead of working They complain they can't get a job making over 50k a year.

It is slowly getting better. Still lots of people asking around here who is hiring. Our population is 198,0000 people though.

i know here in ohio it is pretty bad, i mean my husband was laid off for a bout a year. an the only reason he ended up with a job is because he works for a guy who owns his own bussiness and my husband is his only employe(sp?) lol.

But I think people make due with what they got and I mean i know here in a ohio there is resources out there to help.

I don't think it was ever that bad.  Prices did go up a little but nothing that causes harm.  I have passed many stores that were always hiring.  I think people mistake "can't" for "won't" and call it a bad economy, lol.
