I know everyone is different, but can anybody tell me how long it is supposed to take to get over being cheated on when you choose to stay with the person.

As long as it takes for that person to heal.

About a year with couple's therapy.

Years. Everyone I know who stayed with a cheating partner, it took them years to work through everything and be back in a decent stable relationship. It took them years to deal with the issues that brought about the choice to cheat, it took years to deal with the cheating, it took years to deal with working out all the problems and emotions from cheating. So it took years until they were "over it" and living happy lives with their partners.

It's been 6 years and I'm still not over it. Well, to a point I am, but I don't think you can ever fully get past it.
