How do you deal with the parents who's children can do no wrong?

How involved do you like parents?  I'm very involved at DS's preschool now and plan to be when he transitions to kindergarten in the fall but I always am shy about stepping on toes.  What is the best way to go about becoming a "class mom" who helps out and stuff.

Would you think its strange to see a "younger" mom on the PTA?  I plan to be extremely active just like I am now, but I'm also a little intimidated by the older more experienced moms.  BTW I'm 28 so I'm not that young :)

Its tough, sometimes you need other teachers to come in and help sort it out

If a child was having speech problems what would you recommend as a way to help them get past that problem? Like they couldn't say certain letters right. My uncle had that problem and the put penut butter on the roof of his mouth to help his tongue stick to it to help him pronounce certain words. Now he hates penut butter, he's like penut butter traumatized.

First I would like to say thank you! I think what you do is great and you guys deserve a raise!!! Lol

Can you guys tell which parents actually care about their children's education?

How long have you been teaching?

Have you ever wanted to give up and quit?

What would you do if a child (age 4) went missing from your class?
