Tubal ligation/Ablation

With all the issues I've been having I saw a new gynecologist today that suggested an ablation.

I'm supposed to have a consult on the 7th about it. She said most times when they do an ablation they will also do a tubal ligation if I'm sure I'm done with kids. We are sure. We have also decided that IF we change our minds we are both very open to fostering/adopting.

I'm sure the ablation would be fine, I've read that most women can go to work the next day. But what about the tubal ligation?

If you've had a tubal (not right after birth), how was the recovery. How soon before you were back to normal or able to work?

I almost died. I am severely allergic to morphine....didn't know that because my tubal was the first surgery I ever had.

But other than that it was successful.
