Ok so my husband bought my birthday present and i totally sneaked a peek without him knowing. i couldnt take the anticipation. and now i wish i hadnt seen. bummer. to be honest i have been saying for about a year now that i wanted a standmixer. ya know the kitchenaid awesome one. but its like saying you want a new air purifier or a dyson vaccuum. you want it for the family. not for your present on your birthday. so bummer. i feel like this is equivalent to buying a vaccuum cleaner for someone's christmas gift. he bought me a standmixer. im glad we got themixer but i feel like i got the short end of a deal. what not so great gifts has your hubby gotten you?
now i have to act surprised and put on a smile when hes gives it to me. poo!
btw the reason i sneaked a peek was bc i was in the shower pondering about what he got me (he made a reference to going and buying me a gift right before i got in the shower) and my wheels started turning. i was puting the peices of the puzzle together and *poof* my brain was like, "STANDMIXER!" and yep. it was in his trunk.
** Ok so I have to agree with some of you ladies-- I was definitely being ungrateful when I wrote the post. I am very thankful for the mixer and Im verythankful that my dh is thinking of me and listening to me when i say what i want. I guess I was hoping for a more loving or romantic gift?? In summary, Im pumped Im getting a mixer but bummed that my bday gift is an appliance and not something like a date night at a great restaurant or a massage or a manicure or something. I know, sounds bratty. I guess I was just having a selfish moment after a hard day. Thanks for your comments and all the funny stories about bad gifts from your hubbies! Ill let ya know how the mixer works! :) **I have to say also, that he got a red one which was great bc all of our other kitchenaid stuff is red. He really is a great man!
