2 moms liked this
On here there are different definitions to helicopter parent, on here. Because I don't spank, I believe in talking to and watching my children, I am considered a helicopter parent. And yet I am not. So depends who you ask.

Yup..I know one lady at ds' school who called the cops when her ds scratched his knee on the playground. She still packs him in pillows when he sleeps and he's 8. She won't let him go to the bathroom by himself bc he might drown or something. She refuses to let him use water from the tap to bathe in. Instead she buys gallons of water juggs and heats them on the stove and fills the tub. (apparently tap water is the devil bc they add flouride to it). I mean she's crazy lol

Yup. Thats the message I get on here. Wierd. I also coddle too much and my children are brats and will end up in jail. All because I don't spank. I believe in treating them like people.
