But my mom keeps pressuring me to call and schedule her 4mo shots.

She got her 2mo shots , but i want to delay the next round. My mom is convinced something will happen to her.

Non-vaccinating moms , what are your experiences ?

the doctor is going to pressure you, but honestly my 18 month old only had her 2 and 4 month shots, and then i decided to delay until she is at least 2 years old, i regret getting the few i got, not all kids react the same to the vaccinations, and i feel like at such a young age their bodies dont need all that, i'm currently pregnant and this baby will be getting NOTHING until two years old at least! my daughter has never had ANYTHING but a slightly runny nose and low grade fever, from teething, never any illnesses

Tell her you've done your research & feel this is the best decision for your family. Back it up with facts if needed. :)

We delayed DS, and arent starting DS2 until 2yrs and then only select vaccines.

It is rather complicated where there's some parents involve. My FIL was the same. Telling my husband that it's a crime not to vaccinate our kids. My husband told him once he can bring some valid argument, he'll consider it. 9 years later and 3 kids after, he never brought up the vaccination subjects anymore because he sees it for himself that his grandchildren are very very healthy. Even passed the diseases he mentioned without a fuss.

I did a delayed schedule as well. I think it's a great idea. It will let Aubrey's immune system strengthen itself. Lots of benefits. Just do all your research and do what you and your dh believe is best. Knowledge is power. As long as you know all the correct info, your mom won't be able to scare you because you will already know the risks and benefits.

Its your child. If you plan to delay though make sure you let the dr know because some vaccines need to be given in a specific sequence and time period.

I spaced my sons so that he wasn't getting too many at the same time.So he went to get them more often but only had one or two a visit. Dr was on same page as me.
